Introduction of IQAC
The Institute set up an IQAC with the following functions in accordance with the guidelines of NAAC.
IQAC is conceived as a catalyst of institution building with a motto: “Reaching the unreached with a missionary zeal within stipulated time.”
Objectives of IQAC
Objectives of IQAC
- IQAC is conceived as a driving force, the Think Tank, to build and ensure a decentralized and participative quality intervention at the institute level.
- To develop a quality system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic programmed action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the Institute.
- To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internationalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.
Functions of IQAC
- Development and application of quality benchmarks/parameters for the various academic and administrative activities of the Institute.
- Facilitating the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education and faculty maturation to adopt the required knowledge for participatory teaching and learning processes.
- Arrangement for feedback responses from students, parents, and other stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes.
- Organization of inter and intra-institutional workshops, seminars on quality-related themes, and promotion of quality circles.
- Documentation of the various programmes/activities of the Institute, leading to quality improvement.
- Acting as a nodal agency of the Institute for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of good practices.
- Development and maintenance of an institutional database through MIS for the purpose of maintaining/enhancing institutional quality.
- Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters of NAAC, to be submitted to NAAC.
Contribution of IQAC to Improve the Teaching – Learning Process
- Introducing more teaching aids to improve the teaching-learning process and encourage innovative practices.
- Organizing IQAC-related seminars and attending IQAC seminars in other Institutes.
- Organizing more seminars, workshops, etc., to spread awareness on academic and social issues.
- Improving the system of teachers’ evaluation by students with respect to improving the overall quality of the Institute.
- Enhancing infrastructural facilities in terms of space, equipment, laboratories, libraries, etc.
- Upgrading the syllabus according to quality demands and placement opportunities.
- Facilitating support for interdisciplinary programmes, faculty development programmes, and research activities.
- Planning for new courses at UG and PG levels.

- It can play a significant role in quality creation, enhancement, and sustenance in the institution.
- It sets up a central documentation & information depository system in the institution.
- Ensures a heightened level of clarity and focus in institutional functioning towards quality enhancement.
- Ensures internalization of the quality culture.
- Ensures enhancement and integration among the various activities of the Institute and good practices.
- Provides a sound basis for decision-making to improve institutional functioning.
- Acts as a dynamic system for quality changes in the Institute.
- Builds an organized methodology of documentation and internal communication.
