IQAC Cell Government Vidarbha Institute of Science and Humanities, Amravati Autonomous

In accordance with the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore, for performance evaluation, assessment and accreditation and quality upgradation of institute, Government Vidarbha Institute of Science and Humanities Amravati has established Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure. The quality enhancement of Institute is a continuous process; the IQAC is a part of an institution’s system and work towards realizing the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. The prime task of the Institute IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent, continues and catalytic improvement in the performance of our institute. The IQAC is making a significant and meaningful contribution in the accreditation phase of institute since 2016. During the previous Reaccreditation (February 2017) Institute achieved ‘A’ Grade with 3.32 CGPA in a measure towards academic excellence.

The sole objective of the IQAC cell is to enhance the quality of the Institute. Its success depends upon the sense of belongingness and participation it can inculcate in all the constituents of the institute. IQAC cell works in hierarchical structure or record keeping exercise by which the institute facilitates for participatory and voluntary system among the institute staffs. The IQAC should become a driving force for ushering the quality by working out intervention strategies to remove deficiencies and enhance quality.

Objectives of Institute’s IQAC
  • The Primary aim of the IQAC is to facilitate the integration of various activities of the institution, evolve mechanisms and procedures in timely manner for efficient and progressive performance of academic, research, administrative and financial tasks of Institute.
  • To provide a sound basis for decision making imbibing all the dimensions of service quality to improve institutional functioning.
  • To facilitate the creation of a learner-centric environment conducive to quality education.
  • Development and application of quality benchmark / parameters for the various academic and administrative activities of the institute.
  • Organization of inter and intra Institutional workshops, seminars on academic related themes and promotion of various social activities.
  • Faculty adopt the required knowledge and technology for participatory teaching and learning process.
  • Documentation of the various program / activities leading to quality improvement of institute.
  • Development and maintenance of institutional database through MIS for the purpose of maintaining /enhancing the institutional quality.
  • To coordinate nodal agency of the institute for quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of best practices.
  • Feedback response from students, parents and other stakeholder on quality related institutional processes.
  • Development of quality culture in the Institution.
  • Preparation of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters of NAAC on yearly basis for submission to NAAC.
