The Department of Economics is one of the leading, reputed & renowned department of our Institute from very beginning. Undergraduate courses in economics were started since the inception of our college i.e. from 1923. The Post Graduate classes were started in 1952. Regular M.Phil. in Economics is being started from 2007-08. Department of Economics has the privilege of distinguished teachers on the staff. Every faculty member of this department is supervisor of Ph.D. of Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati. The Economics Department produced many Ph.D., M.Phil, & NET/SET students. The Department has a rich library. Several times Economics Department has organized State & National level U.G.C. sponsored seminar, workshop & symposiums. The faculty members are also trying to continue the glorious tradition of our department in all fields most sincerely. Economics Department has a glorious and long tradition of merit students. PG students regularly appear in merit list of Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati.
